The long-delayed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has been officially cancelled, despite recent confirmations of a 2026 launch window. This decision is part of a sweeping restructuring plan at the publisher.
Ubisoft is moving away from its current structure, reorganizing its internal studios into five specialized “Creative Houses” focused on specific genres. As part of this strategic shift to prioritize major IPs like Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six, the company has scrapped six total projects and is initiating a new round of layoffs to reduce costs and realign resources.
