The first images of Sony’s upcoming premium wireless earbuds have leaked online. The leak stemmed from a Thai retailer that prematurely published the product listing. While the page was eventually taken down, screenshots of the new device were captured.
The images reveal a complete design overhaul compared to the predecessor. The WF-1000XM6 earbuds feature a new elongated, pill-shaped design, abandoning the circular look of the XM5. The charging case has also been redesigned with a flatter, less curvy profile.
Based on the leaked photos, three external microphones are visible on the housing, which suggests potential improvements to the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) performance. The listing showed the new model in standard Black and Platinum Silver color options.
