Apple has reportedly frozen development of its “World Knowledge” engine and AI browser features. Resources are shifting to deeply integrate Google’s Gemini into Siri across core apps. AI features for the Health app are also back to the drawing board, with a new Siri potentially arriving in February.
Google has announced “Me Meme,” a new feature rolling out to US users in the Creations tab. It uses generative AI to insert your personal photos into popular meme templates. Early reports suggest classics like the “This Is Fine” dog will be available at launch.
Apple is developing “Campos,” a project to transform Siri into a full chatbot similar to ChatGPT, built on Google Gemini. The new Siri will reportedly run on Google’s servers. Apple is also developing an AirTag-sized AI wearable with dual cameras and voice control, targeting a 2027 release.
The AI now analyzes user signals — such as account history and activity patterns — to automatically estimate age. Accounts identified as minors will face strict content filters regarding violence, romantic roleplay, and risky behavior.
