Meta is rolling out ads to all Threads users worldwide starting next week. The platform has reached 400 million monthly active users. Ad frequency will start low and increase gradually over the coming months.

According to Similarweb data for January 2026, the Threads mobile app has overtaken X in popularity. Threads now records 141.5 million daily active users on iOS and Android, compared to 125 million for X.
