Sony cedes control of its TV business to TCL in new joint venture
Sony and TCL are forming a joint venture where TCL will hold a 51% controlling stake. TCL will handle the design, manufacturing, and sales of future Sony Bravia TVs, while Sony provides brand licensing and image processing tech. The new structure takes effect in April 2027.
