Reddit user wewillmakeitnow built a handheld PS4 Slim using a trimmed motherboard. The 1.5kg device features a 7″ 1080p OLED and a 130Wh battery for up to 3 hours of play. It is a one-off personal project and not for sale.
Apple has reportedly frozen development of its “World Knowledge” engine and AI browser features. Resources are shifting to deeply integrate Google’s Gemini into Siri across core apps. AI features for the Health app are also back to the drawing board, with a new Siri potentially arriving in February.

Bloomberg reports that Tim Cook has placed hardware chief John Ternus in charge of Apple’s design teams. This adds to his 2025 expansion into product strategy. By consolidating oversight of hardware, strategy, and design, Cook appears to be grooming Ternus as his direct successor.
